SimuTech Group is a privately-owned, family-owned, and woman-owned business, with Ken’s daughter, Katie Lally, now the majority Owner and Chief Revenue Officer. With a new headquarters building that opened up in 2020 and multiple regional offices across the US and Canada, SimuTech employs a staff of over 130 professionals. The Company has achieved the highest level of recognition as an Ansys Channel Partner (Elite) and was recently recognized as one of the fastest-growing private companies in the Rochester, NY area. Since that time, SimuTech Group has grown organically through further acquisition (Wind Turbine Test Co, 2016), and via increasingly broadened simulation capabilities as an Ansys Channel Partner. SimuTech Group also became the largest Ansys Channel Partner in North America. In 2008 SimuTech Group was formed to integrate these operations and scale the business to provide engineering expertise and customer support across the range of Ansys simulation capabilities.

As the breadth of Ansys products continued to expand, he concluded that building a critical mass of support and consulting service engineers would help customers improve their products. As Ken assessed the core strengths of the business and future growth potential, he recognized customers rapidly expanding desire to improve their product development process by leveraging the capabilities of Ansys software simulation. At the time STI’s business was primarily centered on turbine blade failure analysis and engineering technology development, with a smaller focus on Ansys simulation software as an Ansys Channel Partner. SimuTech Group’s roots began in 2000, when STI Technologies was purchased by Ken Lally in Rochester, NY.
